Dear family! My name is Nataliya and I'm from the Ukraine. I live in the Derazhnya, Khmelnytski region. My town is situated in the western part of the Ukraine and its very beautiful. I finished school here in 2002, then I entered the Kharkiv Social - Economical Institute. In 2006 I gained a Bachelor Degree in social work. Then I entered the Khmelnitskiy Institute of Social Technologies of the Higher Educational Establishment "Open International University of Human Development"Ukraine" and got a Spesialist Degree. In 2005 I went to England. I had my practice there for 6 months. Being inspired by other culture and traditions, I decided to get to know more about other countries. The work of an au-pair gave me such a wonderful chance. I also discovered that I have a great passion for work with children and feel absolutely lucky and happy to give my hand in their growth and development. From 2010 to 2011 I worked as a nanny for a Ukrainian family. I looked after a 10 y.old boy, Nikita. My duties included picking up him from school, helping and guiding him with school activities, helping with school homeworks, preparing meal, sometimes I went grocery shopping, and also we went to the gym and played different games. From 2006 to 2007 I worked as an au-pair for a Norwegian family. I looked after two beautiful girls, Marie, 6 and Nora Amalie, a newborn. In the morning I prepared breakfast and lunch for Maria, helped her with clothes. After school we played outside and drew, when little Nora Amalie was sleeping. We used to go all together to walk in the parks and playgrounds. I still communicate with this family and I see how the girls have grown up. From 2007 to 2008 I worked in another Norwegian family. I looked after a boy, Oscar 3.6 years old. I assisted with bathing and dressing him, brought him to and from kindergarten. Every week we went to the swimming pool and gym. Since the parents came home late I would put Oscar to bed and before going to bed I read him a book. We went for a walk in the parks, playgrounds and did other activities. We also went to visit his grandparents for the holidays, because his parents were busy at work. In summer 2004 I worked as a nanny for a Ukrainian family. I took care of their son, a 5 y.old. We went for walks in the park, to the zoo, playgrounds, also we played different games, drew. I prepared different arts and crafts and assisted the child in making them. Sometimes when I put him to bed, I read fairy tales or sang children's songs. I also was a nanny for other families: I looked after little a boy (1,5 years) 5 days a week from 7:15 am to 16:30), also I had two nice boys, 6 and 2 years old. We played together various games and read books, and I took care of two 7 month old twins, three times a week. For all children I've been in charge of I have always made every effort to maintain a safe environment and create a positive child care climate by preparing various activities, playing games, avoiding conflict situations. I have the best parents and family, I love them very much. My mother is a housewife and my dad is a businessman. I have got 2 sisters. My elder sister's name is Elena, she is 28, my younger sister's name is Valentina, she is 10. I helped Elena to take care of her daughter. I read her fairy tales, we played and went to walk together. I like order in everything at home that's why I try to keep everything in order. Before coming abroad I had helped my parents take care of the house and looked after my niece 6 months and my younger sister, 5 y.old. I've looked after Valentina since her childhood and I helped my mother with everything she needed. Finally I would like to say to my future host family that I'm a very cheerful, easy-going punctual, responsible, friendly and happy person. I love to work with children, play and teach them something new. I have so much experience working with children in the Ukraine and Norway. I lead a healthy way of life and don't have bad habits (I think it's very important when you work with children).
